First detaining facility realized in project financing.
No later than summer 2018 a new detaining facility will open its gates in the southern part of Bolzano (Italy). This will be the first Italian penitentiary realized in public-private partnership in accordance with Article 43 of the Decree-Law No. 1 of January 24, 2012, converted into law with changes by Law No. 27 of March 24, 2012 which introduced the “project financing for the realization of penitentiary infrastructure”.
According to the journal Edilizia e territorio edited by Il Sole 24 Ore the total value of the concession is approximately 72 millions for the financing, the final and executive planning, the construction and management of the detaining facility.
